The Diversity in Publishing Network was established in 2004 by Alison Morrison and Elise Dillsworth. With over 26 years of publishing experience between them, they were concerned that there was not enough support for people entering or currently working within publishing. A survey undertaken by Arts Council England and The Bookseller confirmed their concerns, and the Network was established in response.
DIPNET has been managed by Booktrust since 2006. ‘Booktrust is an independent charity dedicated to encouraging people of all ages and cultures to engage with books.
